Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian Mild Sausage
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 15 fresh jalapeno peppers (adjust based on need)
- 1 package of bacon
Instructions
- Cook Italian sausage in a skillet in medium heat until browned.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese
- Wash and cut the top half off of each jalapeno pepper to leave room to stuff.
- If you don’t want it too spicy, you can scoop out the inside of the poppers including the seeds. Remove the membrane as well and this will give you more of a mild taste.
- Spoon in the sausage mixture into each jalapeno half.
- Wrap bacon around each jalapeno bowl.
- Arrange each stuffed halves onto a baking dish. Bake at 380 degrees until bacon is fully cooked. Serve
I recently found this pan at Target and it was seriously the best purchase ever. I use this pan because it drains the bacon while it is in the oven. This prevents the poppers from getting all soaked and soggy from the bacon fat. Therefore, keep in mind that this helps keep the shape of the poppers while cooking.
This bacon jalapeno poppers recipe was a huge hit at my house. It is so easy to make and it doesn’t require the use of too many ingredients. From a breakfast dish to a afternoon brunch, this recipe is sure to be a hit. I plan to make these again for the up coming Holidays as well. My family has already requested it. Hope you love it as much as I do!
Enjoy, xoxo
